Today, we’re pleased to share that Lauren Wilcox, Sr. Director of Responsible AI at eBay, was named a 2023 ACM Distinguished Member by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). This prestigious recognition is awarded to those who have made significant contributions to the field of computing.
Wilcox was nominated based on her research contributions in responsible AI, human–computer interaction, and health informatics. Her work in these areas has been instrumental in advancing computing research and improving training programs.
The 2023 ACM Distinguished Members are selected by their peers from leading corporations, universities, and research institutions around the world.
“I’m thrilled to receive this recognition from ACM,” Lauren said. “I’ve been so fortunate to work with such talented colleagues over the years, and I’m privileged to be able to continue advancing the responsible AI field through all the great work we’re doing at eBay.”
Lauren currently leads eBay’s Office of Responsible AI. Her contributions to human-centered and responsible AI have been vital in developing new methods and applications to improve the eBay experience for our community.
